Tools for dreaming
This page discusses the responsibility of an artist's work and everything the art space contains.
Based on this notion of responsibility, I decided two years ago to start taking commissions from clients who challenge me to create something specific and personalized for their personal space. Initially, this was an internal debate for me, even somewhat uncomfortable, as it interfered with what I believed to be the greatest value of an artist—freedom. However, I found a way to do it that brought out the best in me, in joy, rooted in my own personal values. It was uniquely and simply from the moment when, even without reading the said manifesto, I realized that art is not a decoration object. If it is interpreted as such, much remains unsaid, falling short of its greatness and possibility.
Art is a conversation, a daily catalyst of emotions, a reason for contemplation, a frequency vibrating in a home. It is a place of peace and inner silence. It is a responsible place in a family home. It is divine.
With that said, here are the values that govern the act of placing an order:
For there to be creative freedom, the commitment is not based on a prior exchange of values. I commit to creating something, and I leave the client the freedom to, if they do not identify with the created work, not feel obligated to keep it.
As I have learned over the past few years, sometimes we are creating a work thinking it is for one person when another is silently waiting. We are all connected by an invisible universal thread.
The minimum creation time for an order is 3 months from the moment I start on it. If there are previous commitments, such as three others already assumed, the new order will have to be on a waiting list. I work alone; I am not a production line, although I am productive...
Here is my experience regarding this point. Creativity does not arise precisely in the order of a waiting list, although it is important in structure. If something catches my attention for a specific order, and I consider it the moment to put it into practice, I use that freedom knowing that it is the basis of my best state of being in the execution of a work, which applies to all of you.
During the process, the client is notified when the work is about to begin and, from there, whenever I find it convenient, but the process is never shown. Only at the end. Here you will need to exercise something valuable in life: patience and trust in the artist and their ability, as well as their responsibility.
I do not accept pressure due to birthdays or Christmas dates, nor because of impatience for reasons only you will rightly know. I will always try to give my best if this is arranged in advance and with time. Pressure is anti-creation.
How does an order process work?
I only accept one client per month. It may seem strange, but over the years I have discovered that Quantity is not Quality and even less Happiness.
There will be a conversation about the objective of the work to be done. Let's get to know each other!
Photos and measurements of the space will be provided, and in terms of colors, especially those that are incompatible with the client. Possibility of a video call if deemed necessary.
I accept images of inspirational works you have seen, mine of course. I reserve the right to say that I do not create identical works. It is not ethical. The sent images serve to help me read the mindset behind the client's idea.
My work consists of series, sometimes with a common ideology or theme, where each work explores a different potential in shapes and colors. There are series I no longer revisit but may open opportunities for renewed ones. Here you are part of the creation.
A budget is provided, and once accepted, the commitment is assumed.
After sending a photo of the finished work and client approval, the painting will be paid for, proof of payment sent, and delivery organized by my trusted transporters.
The delivery date will be arranged, but it will also take into account the availability of my assistants since they do not work exclusively for me.
To conclude, I must say that the act of falling in love with a work we see, already made, is something magical that should NEVER be undervalued in comparison to the expectation of having something made specifically for us. That conversation is a divine place and is called the flow of life. To say that it is worth knowing how to wait.

Esta página fala sobre a responsabilidade do trabalho do artista e de tudo aquilo que o espaço da arte contém.
Baseada nesta noção de responsabilidade, optei há dois anos por abrir espaço a fazer encomendas para clientes que me desafiam a criar algo específico e personalizado para o seu espaço pessoal. Foi para mim no início um debate interno, até algo desconfortável, sendo que interfere com o maior valor de um artista, a liberdade, ou assim eu julgava... até encontrar a forma de o fazer que trouxesse à tona o melhor de mim, em alegria, assente nos meus próprios valores pessoais. E foi única e simplesmente a partir do momento em que, ainda sem ler o dito manifesto, me apercebi que a arte não é um objeto de decoração e, se assim for interpretada, muito fica por dizer, aquém da sua grandeza e possibilidade.
A arte é uma conversa, um catalisador diário de emoções, um motivo para contemplar, uma frequência a vibrar numa casa. É um lugar de paz e de silêncio interior. É um lugar responsável numa casa de família. É divina.
Dito isto, deixo aqui os valores que regem o ato de fazer uma encomenda:
Para que haja liberdade criativa, o compromisso não é assente numa troca prévia de valores. Eu assumo o compromisso de criar algo, e deixo ao cliente a liberdade de, no caso de não se identificar com a obra criada, não se sentir obrigado a ficar com ela.
Como aprendi nestes últimos anos, às vezes estamos a criar uma obra a pensar que é para uma pessoa e afinal há outra silenciosamente à espera. Todos estamos unidos por um fio invisível universal.
O tempo mínimo de criação de uma encomenda é de 3 meses, a partir do momento em que pego nela. Se previamente a esta encomenda houver, por exemplo, três outras já assumidas, terá de se submeter a uma lista de espera. Eu trabalho sozinha; não sou uma linha de produção, embora seja produtiva...
Deixo aqui a minha experiência relativamente a este ponto. A criatividade surge não propriamente pela ordem de uma lista de espera, embora ela seja importante numa estrutura. Se algo me chama a atenção para uma determinada encomenda, e considero ser o momento de aproveitar para a colocar em prática, eu uso dessa liberdade sabendo que essa é a base do meu melhor estado de ser na execução de uma obra, que se aplica a todos vocês.
Durante o processo, o cliente é avisado no momento em que a obra vai começar a ser criada e, a partir daí, sempre que eu achar conveniente, mas o processo nunca é mostrado. Só no final. Aqui terão de colocar em exercício algo valioso na vida: a paciência e a confiança no artista e na sua capacidade, tanto como na sua responsabilidade.
Não aceito pressões, por causa de datas de aniversário ou Natais, nem por serem mais impacientes por motivos que tão justamente apenas vocês saberão. Tentarei sempre dar o meu melhor se isso for previamente combinado e com tempo. A pressão é anti-criação.
Como se processa uma encomenda?
Só aceito um cliente por mês. Pode parecer estranho, mas ao longo dos anos fui descobrindo que Quantidade não é Qualidade e muito menos Felicidade.
Vai haver uma conversa sobre o objetivo da obra a realizar. Vamos nos conhecer!
Serão fornecidas fotografias, medidas do espaço e, ao nível das cores, sobretudo as que são incompatíveis com o cliente. Possibilidade de uma chamada por vídeo se for necessário.
Aceito imagens de obras de inspiração que tenham visto, minhas claro. Reservo-me o direito de dizer que não faço nada igual. Não é ético. As imagens enviadas servem para eu entender o mindset por trás da ideia do cliente.
O meu trabalho é constituído por séries, que às vezes têm uma base de ideologia ou tema comum a todas, onde cada obra explora um potencial diferente em formas e cores. Há séries às quais não volto, mas que podem abrir a oportunidade a outras renovadas. Aqui vocês fazem parte da criação.
É dado um orçamento e, sendo adjudicado, o compromisso está assumido.
Após envio de fotografia da obra terminada e adjudicação do cliente, o quadro será pago, enviado o comprovativo e a entrega organizada por transportadores da minha confiança.
A data de entrega será combinada, mas também levará em conta a disponibilidade dos meus assistentes, uma vez que não trabalham apenas para mim.
Para finalizar, não posso deixar de dizer que o ato de nos apaixonarmos por uma obra que vemos, já feita, é algo mágico que NUNCA deve ser desvalorizado face à expectativa de termos algo feito para nós. Essa conversa é um lugar divino e é chamado flow da vida. Para dizer que vale a pena saber esperar.
